Replica of the machine gun in metal and plastic. The loading system is functional and the magazine is removable and the stock adjustable.
The MP40 (maschinenpistole 40) was created by Heinrich Vollmer in 1940 with the aim of equipping all German soldiers with an assault weapon. Equipped with a magazine of 32 9mm cartridges, with an effective range of 100/150 meters, it was a quality weapon of economical manufacture. Its recoil is relatively low even with a burst shot and thanks to its low rate of fire, this allowed it to be accurate at short distances. Not very effective in open country due to its short range, this is what pushed the designers to create the STG-44, predecessor of modern assault rifles.
This automatic rifle was used for a long time by the Nazi German troops during the 2nd World War between 1939 and 1945, the largest and most important conflict in History, all the great powers dedicated their economic, scientific and military capabilities to the war effort. At the end of the war, approximately 1,047,000 units were built, thousands were captured by the Red Army. These weapons were also used for the Indochina conflict by the French and later in the Korean and Vietnam wars.
