Reproduction of the kepi of Governor of Paris, Denfert-Rochereau, said "The lion of Belfort".

Pierre Philippe Denfert-Rochereau, born in Saint-Maixent-l'École on January 11, 1823 and died at Versailles on May 11, 1878, is a senior officer and French deputy. He is famous for leading the resistance during the Siege of Belfort during the Franco-Prussian war of 1870, which earned him the nickname "Lion of Belfort".
