Uniform of Zouaves of the Guard France 1870 Napoléon III
Uniform carried by the regiments of Zouaves of the guard under Napoleon III in 1870.
This uniform is composed of waistcoat, bolero, and sarouel.
Vest:
Blue navy wool blend with flat yellow daffodil braid for the front with two small pockets, and cotton for the back.
It closes with 5 small wooden buttons on one side and is fully lined.
The Bolero:
Wool blend navy blue with flat braids and yellow daffodil braid.
Red woolen sheet at the end of the sleeves, closing using staples.
Fully lined in cotton.
The Sarouel:
Duvet of madder with yellow daffodil daffodil.
There is a lace at each extremity of the legs passed in an eptit passing in cotton.
Holes of "Lamoricière "present in between the leg
Clamp on back and fly closure with buttons.
